On 2 September 2009, Deutsche Telekom released its 2009 corporate social responsibility report.



Entitled We Take Responsibility, the report details the companies policies and practices on issues such as the environment / climate change, corporate governance, equal opportunities and human rights.



Deutsche Telekom also refers in its report to its "commitment to our employees". The company does not, however, refer to its failure to live up to the commitment to respect its employees' fundamental labour and human rights including the right to form and join trade unions.



Workers at Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile USA have faced hostile employer opposition to organising a union since the company established its operations there in 2000.



Workers have been intimidated and harassed when talking to union organisers or accepting union educational material. T-Mobile USA workers who support the union have been threatened and intimidated by managers or offered incentives to abandon their support.
