As the global economic crisis reaches Denmark UNI europe Commerce affiliated HK Handel joined forces with the commerce employers organisation Danish Commerce and published a joint statement encouraging the Government to take immidiate action.

The Danish social partners suggest a stimulus package of Dkr 10,2bn (€1,37bn) which will lend a much needed hand to businesses as well as workers in the sector and the package will be a an essential supplement to the suggested "bank packages".



By signing the joint statement the Danish social partners follow the initiative taken by the European Social Partners for the Commerce sector who on 19th December 2008 signed a joint statement on the financial crisis which led the European Commission to ask other sectors to offer their views on the economic crisis.
