Denis Lemelin, the National President of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), signed the 40 for 40 declaration on April 20, 2012. UNI women launched the 40 for 40 campaign following the UNI World Congress in Nagasaki. The goal is to strive to achieve representation of at least 40% for both genders in all decision-making structures, meeting delegations and other similar institutional structures within the affiliated unions and UNI itself.
