After 3 years of struggle, legal obstacles, jurisdiction and negotiations, the first CBA was finally signed on 11 July 2014 by Basin-Is and Amcor Tobacco Packaging Izmir Management with full support of members. This was just after Basin-Is got its legal authorisation from the Ministry of Labour.

200 workers, 100% of the workers at production level, are covered by the CBA. The CBA provides additionnal social premium, increase of wages and financial benefits, improvement of working conditions, paid leave and participation in decision making process of discipline, health and safety, annual paid leave, working hours, shifts, etc. 

Yakup Akkay, President of Basin-Is, said: "In spite of all the difficulties we went through we are so happy to sign our first CBA here without any loss and with full consensus of the organising committee and the members. We have now a very constructive dialog with the Management. This CBA is one of the outcomes."
