Unionised workers at Smurfit Kappa Poland's plant in Gdansk showed collective support for their union, ZZP, during a negotiation meeting with the company.

On 17th of December 2015 another round of pay and conditions' negotiations took place in Smurfit Kappa Poland plant in Gdansk. Unionised workers anticipated difficult talks and to show their support fot ZZP's negotiation team they decided to organise a day of public and visible collective actions. Those included lanyards and stickers with the campaign logo 'We deserve better' worn by a majority of workers (including those who have not yet joined the union) as well as a convoy of cars entering the site.

The very impressive and successful actions of unity and solidarity helped raise awareness on issues being negotiated, lifted the spirits of all workers and demonstrated to their employer the determination of ZZP in their struggle to improve working conditions at Smurfit Kappa Poland.
