The thesis examines how global alliances, such as the agreement facilitated by UNI Global Union with Quebecor World, are essential to improving the world economy.



UNI and Quebecor World’s agreement guarantees rights such as freedom of association and collective bargaining.



Quebecor World emerged from bankruptcy in 2009 under the name World Color Press. Earlier this year, the Montreal-based company said it would be taken over by U.S. printer Quad/Graphics Inc. That deal is expected to close this summer.
