1. Terms of Remuneration
· Salaries, depending on pay scale, will be increased by an average of 3.6%
· After a long freeze, higher pay scales will be increased by the same fixed amount and percentage as shown in table a)
· Salaries up to an amount of € 1,500 will be increased by a fixed amount of € 50, whereby the lower pay categories will be increased by up to 3.85%
· The remuneration of apprentices will increase by 3.9 to 4.0%
· All salaries that are higher than the minimum stipulated in the collective agreement will remain in force
2. Terms of employment
With regard to the question of parental leave, the following provisions have been agreed:
· As of 1.1.2012, parental leave for the first child will be taken into account for establishing the number of years of service (including prior service for a previous employer in the commerce sector and any salary increments) up to a maximum of ten months
· Parental leave up to a maximum of ten months will also be taken into account for the calculation of service anniversary bonuses
· Leave to look after a terminally ill person will be taken into account for a period of up to ten months for the calculation of holiday entitlements, protection against dismissal, continued wage payments in the event of illness, and service bonuses.
Insofar as holiday bonuses are concerned, the following provision was agreed:
· The latest payment date for the holiday bonus will be brought forward from 31 July to 30 June.
Thanks to the pay agreement and improvements in the terms of employment, an overall increase amounting to 4% has been achieved.
