As part of the global strategy to improve the networking and sharing of information among union members in Amcor UNI America's Graphical & Packaging launched the America's Regional Network.



Attending the launch was the National Secretary of the AMWU Lorraine Cassin and the HoD of UNI Graphical & Packaging Steve Walsh and the The America's Regional Director Marvin Largaespada.



Delegates from Mexico, Venezuela, Chile, Colombia, Brazil and Uruguay attended the 2 day meeting held in Montevideo.



In addition to the country reports, presentations were made on UNI's global strategic plan for Amcor and the progress that is being made in a number of countries.



Lorraine Cassin gave a report and a presentation on the success of the recent training courses for the Australian delegates and provided an overview of the Australian perspective of Amcor.



The Regional Director for Graphical & Packaging Marvin Largaespada spoke about the objectives for the America's network and how important it was to ensure that we have strong viable networks.



Participants split into workgroups and developed further objectives and action plans for the Region. The importance of communications on a regional and global level and ways to share information were discussed at length.
