Following the meeting of the Global Women in Bogota, UNI has decided to accompany the Tunisian women in the change that is happening in their country.

To do this, UNI Women organized a mission in Tunisia to support women in this country after the revolution. These women who fear a decline of their rights have appealed to UNI for them to be fitted with confidence to make right choices in their lives and to address the post revolution era with confidence.

The 2-day seminar was attended by 15 women from the following sectors: Finance, Post and Logistics, Telecom, Graphic and IBITS.

The delegation was composed of Veronica Mendez-Fernandez, Head of Equality Opportunities Department, Léocadie Abouo, Coordinator of UNI Africa Women and Arlette Puraye, CNE, Belgium who brought the support of UNI Europa Women in this activity which is a milestone in the breakthrough of women in Africa.



The presentations, discussions and interventions more interesting than other shows that Tunisian women know what they want and are very aware of politics, social life and progress of women in the world.



Unfortunately, while many women in unions, they are still struggling to fill decisions making positions. One of the solutions is training and claiming for positions.



Work has therefore led to the planning session of computer training, communication, labor laws and union training base. Women have been empowered to conduct the program.



With these themes, we do not doubt that women in Tunisia will be more confident in the future and participate fully in their unions and their country.
