10/09/2008 Companies: actual costs of EWCs

Is it possible to give an accurate evaluation of the costs of a European Works Council ? The European Commission asked the GHK Consulting Firm to carry out a study on this topic in view of the revision of the EWC directive. Based on a sample of 70 companies, the report, published this week, is trying to provide an accurate assessment of the direct and indirect operation costs of this staff representation structure.
