4^TH UNI Europa Youth Summer School - 29-31 July 2009, Hamburg, Germany



UNI-Europa Youth is continuing to hold the Summer Schools that help trade unionists from UNI’s affiliates improve their skills in areas such as negotiation and presentation. These schools also help build the attendees confidence levels.



The 4^th seminar will be held in Hamburg from 29-31 July 2009.



The Objectives of the Summer School are the following:

1. To strengthen the union movement through young, well trained leaders

2. To mainstream young workers’ issues into UNI-Europa’s affiliates

3. To increase the active participation of young people in the structures and

activities of UNI-Europa’s affiliates

4. To raise the confidence of young activists

5. To improve young activists’ negotiation skills

6. To improve young activists’ presentation and communication skills

7. To help young activists to identify their personal goals and targets

The international environment of the seminar with participants from all over Europe will also improve the young activists’ understanding for cultural differences as well as tolerance and solidarity.

The course is conducted in English only. Participants need to have a sufficient level of English to be able to follow the Seminar. All participants must be under 35 years old.
