Spice Telecom (better known under the "Mero Mobile" brand) workers are now organised.



"Mero Mobile" is the first private GSM mobile operator in Nepal with 80% shares owned by TeliaSonera (Swedish and Finnish investors). It provides telecommunication services in the Nordic and Baltic countries, the emerging markets of Eurasia, including Russia and Turkey, and in Spain.



The "Spice Nepal Employees Welfare Council" is a registered enterprise level trade union. It concluded its first collective agreement with the group of management of Spice Nepal Private Limited, which covers 400 staff of Spice Telecom in Nepal.



TeliaSonera is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm and NASDAQ OMX Helsinki stock exchanges.
