The 2nd UNI Apro MEI Conference was successfully held in concurrently with the 5th UNI Apro Graphical and Packaging sector. A total of 34 delegates from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal and Taiwan, including observers and guests from International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) – Asia Pacific, and Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), attended the conference. Bro Masatoshi Nakamura, President of UNI Apro MEI, led a special session in memoriam of the Fukushima earthquake victims on the first day of the joint session.    

The conference’s discussions focused on challenges such as the issues of professionalism and ethics faced by media workers and professionals in the digital era. The participants affirmed and adopted the UNI Apro MEI Strategic Action Program for 2017-2021 presented by Bro Johannes Studinger, Head UNI MEI.

Bro Masatoshi Nakamura was re-elected as the President of UNI Apro MEI Executive Committee for 2017-2021.
