Meetings

To the attention of UNI Europa Commerce affiliate and Commerce trade unions in Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia.

Dear colleagues,

Together with Eurocommerce, we are carrying out a project on reinforcing capacity building for social partners from Central Eastern and Candidate European countries. The aim of this project is to improve the capacity of social partners to better participate in national and European social dialogue, to reinforce employees trade union and employers' organisation and to encourage a better dialogue in these countries. Please find attached a more detailed description.

In the framework of this project, we organise 4 regional workshops for different geographical areas

Each workshop is structured in the following way:

DAY 1: meeting for trade union organisations only with UNI EUROPA and the trade union project expert where we address the issue of organising and recruiting commerce workers as well as problems surrounding industrial relation and social dialogue
DAY 2: meeting with trade unions and employers organisations + speakers and two project experts(trade unions and employers)+UNI Europa and Eurocommerce

The workshop for Turkey, Croatia and Montenegro and possibly Serbia (to be checked with the EU Commission) is scheduled on 3 and 4 December 2013 in Istanbul (Turkey).

We would like to invite 3/4 participants from country. The workshop target international trade union officers but as well shop steward and trade union leaders of the main multinational companies operating in your country.
