Ncell Employees Trade Union (NETU) has, together with UNI NLC and UNI Apro, started preparations for the fifth round of collective bargaining that will formally start in early 2017. NETU has successfully completed four rounds of CBA negotiations every two years since the union was established in 2009. The employer then was TeliaSonera (now Telia Company), whereas the upcoming negotiation will be the first with the new employer Axiata.

In early 2016, Telia Company sold Ncell to Axiata Group Berhad, which is a Malaysian telecommunications conglomerate with extensive operations in Asia. Since the beginning of its operations, NETU has been able to sign collective agreements without any big disturbances, and the union is very committed to continue this practice in the future.
