A network of young union activists, in Sri Lanka grouped as "Decent Work Activist"; launched a campaign to secure decent work for the young employees working in BPO and IT enabled services industry in Sri Lanka. This industry expanding rapidly and employs many young in Sri Lanka.

They have established contacts with many young employees in the BPO and ITES industry through social media platforms. To mark the World Day for Decent 7th October 2015, trade union activist from services industries, such as Railway, Telecom, Postal, Insurance, Teachers and Plantation and Tobacco distributed hand bills at Railway stations in Colombo city targetting the employees in the BPO & ITES industry.

UNI affiliates in Sri Lanka, Media Pro-Tech, UPTO, and Insurance Employees Union launched the campaign with the collective support of many other unions in Sri Lanka.
