The 10th Ladies Convention organized by National Union of Postal Employees (Postmen & Multi-tasking staff) under the FNPO West Bengal Circle was held on Moulali Yuba Kendra, Kolkata, India on 2nd August 2015.

The convention was inaugurated by Mrs. Saoni Singha Roy, Honorable Member of West Bengal Legislative Assembly of India. Mrs. Sabina Yasmin, Honorable Member of Legislative Assembly was present as Chief Guest together with other dignitaries as special guests.

About 250 women members were present and many of them spoke on their different problems, such as mental torture in the workplaces, insufficient spaces in the workplaces, demand of ladies’ toilets in some offices and separate rooms for women employees to change their uniforms. 

The state working committee is going to prepare a charter of demands for submission to the Chief Postmaster General, Kolkata, according to the problems expressed by the women participants to the Ladies Convention.
