More than 40 participating tandems met in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the 7th and 8th of September, 2015, for a third workshop of the UNI Equal Opportunities Mentoring Program.

For two days, the participants received information on campaigns to promote women in unions, as well as workshops and activities on leadership and organizing. Newcomers were able to get acquainted with the program by understanding how tandems are formed, the responsabilities of both the Mentor and the Mentee, and what the purpose of the program is. 

Through the sharing of experiences that have been previously consolidated in reports issued by the UNI Equal Opportunities Department based on their activities, the participants were able to discuss and learn about each others achievements as well as the different possible solutions they can give to the obstacles they face throughout the implementation of the program.

Currently, the Mentoring Program has more than 200 participants in three different regions: Europe, Americas and Asia-Pacific and it aims to prepare women, through the exchange of experiences and the sharing of activities, to occupy decision making posts within their unions. The Mentoring Program has also been an excellent organizing tool, increasing the participation of women in those unions where it has been implemented.
