The National Commission of TU NSZZ „Solidarność” on 28 January 2014 firmly protested against violation of basic labour and unionist rights by Lidl Poland.
 
In January 2013 workers of Lidl Poland decided to get organised at this multinational company and joined TU NSZZ „Solidarność. Almost since the beginning, the company board adoptd an hostile atittude and actions against the Union in Lidl. In December 2013 NSZZ "Solidarność" Union leader and her deputy were given disciplinary dismissals. As a reason, the employer indicated, among others, the participation of these activists in protest actions that were illegal according to Lidl.
 
That is why The National Commission of the NSZZ "Solidarność" Union decided to undertake a long term protest action to normalize industrial and working relations in Lidl Poland. In the first stage of this action, Union Leaders appeal to NSZZ „Solidarność” TU members not to do shopping in this multinational in February (to boycott Lidl).
 
What's more: The National Commission of TU "Solidarność" is going to make a complaint about Lidl Poland board hostile activities to international organisations like ILO and OECD.
