UNI Global Union is deeply saddened by sudden death of our friend Janek Kuczkiewicz.



Janek was a champion in the fight to win respect for union rights across the world.



He was a man of breathtaking determination and uncompromising in the struggle to expose repression, intimidation and victimisation of the workers everywhere.



His sharp mind and strong voice enabled him to lend the fight against those that abused their power and authority at the expense of workers.



In the arena of the trade union rights Janek was the man you wanted fighting for your side.



UNI Global Union has worked with Janek on many occasions and he was never found wanting.



On behalf of UNI Global Union and all our affiliates, we send our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. His work was appreciated by millions of workers and he will not be forgotten.
