Sunrise Switzerland, a subsidiary of TeleDanmark (TDC) has said that it's wholly owned subsidiary Sunrise Communications
AG has entered into agreements with Alcatel-Lucent and Aurelius AG respectively, which entails outsourcing and transferal of jointly 520 out of the Swiss group's total of 2,100 employees.
The Union says that the conditions of employment and job guarantees have not been agreed and it has taken this matter up strongly with Sunrise. The union says they must negotiate the transfer of jobs and also their must be negotiations with the outsource companies, Alcatel-Lucent and Aurelis for long term conditions of employment to be agreed for the outsourced workers.

Agreement with Alcatel-Lucent
The agreement includes the entire network operation and maintenance of Sunrise Communications, whereas key tasks such as network planning and customer care will remain with Sunrise. The agreement will take effect from 1 August 2008 and will - after the migration period - be fully implemented by end January 2009. The agreement entails that 290 employees will be transferred to Alcatel-Lucent.
The agreement is for a term of 7 years and the total value of the transaction is approximately 550 million CHF, depending on the actual build out of the Sunrise network in the contractual period.
Agreement with Aurelius AG
The Agreement with Aurelius AG is for all the shares in Sunrise Communication AG's wholly owned subsidiary Sunrise Business Communications AG, which deals with planning, installation and integration of internal equipment and data networks for business customers. All of the companies 230 employees are included in the transaction, which is expected to have effect as of 1. July 2008 depending on approval by the competition authorities.
