Our meeting will start at 2.00 pm on 28th October 2008 and is expected to end by 5.00 pm on 29th October 2008. All participants are invited to observe at the UNI Apro Sectoral Meetings. Each Sectoral Meeting will be hel for one and half day. 24Oct – 25Oct am UNI Apro Commerce Sector Meeting 25Oct pm – 26Oct UNI Apro Telecom Sector Meeting 27Oct – 28Oct am UNI Apro Post & Logistics Sector Meeting. 26Oct - 29Oct UNI Apro Empowerment Course for Women Leaders. Meeting Venue / Accommodation The meetings will be held at:-. Manila Pavillion Hotel United Natons Ave Ermita, Manila 1000 Tel: 63 2 526 1212, Fax 63 2 526 2552 The negotiated (room) price per night is between Peso 3,000 - Peso 4,000 for a single or a twin room. The rate is inclusive of buffet breakfast In order to facilitate organisational matters such as hotel bookings and registration for the events, the titular members of the UNI Apro Women’s Committee are kindly requested to send back the enclosed registration form by e-mail (if you have not already done so) direct to Alice Chang, UNI Apro Secretariat before the 25th September 2008. Only one form will be used per participant for all the UNI Apro regional events in Manila. Interpretation Simultaneous interpretation will be provided for the UNI Apro Women’s committee meeting both from and into English and Japanese. Agenda/Programme The draft agenda and tentative programme are attached. Additional documentations for the UNI Apro meeting will be sent to you at a later stage I would be grateful if you could kindly prepare the report of the UNI Apro National gender activities carried out in your union, sectoral reports, success stories of recruiting women members and issues indicated in the agenda. Please kindly provide a soft copy by emailing them to Alice Chang at alicechang@uni-apro.org.sg who will then compiled them for the perusal of the committee members. I seek you cooperation in forwarding the reports to me as soon as possible to enable the reports to be distributed prior to the meeting in electronic form. If there are any additional agenda that you feel we should tak the opportunity to discuss in this meeting, please contact Alice Chang and/or Yoko Ogawa. We should like to remind you that all hotel and travel costs are the responsibility of your union and that UNI Apro cannot take out insurance for participants. Insurance coverage should therefore be provided by each union. Those participating in the meeting do so at their own risk.
