Subject: A peaceful two-state solution for Israel and Palestine

Even after the foundation of the state, the difficulties did not disappear - war with surrounding Arab countries and conflict with the people of Palestine, a conflict that still exists today.



At the same time the situation for the Palestinian people gets only worse. Security measures taken by Israel prevents Palestine to develop a sustainable society, as frequent checkpoints together with little freedom of movement makes it difficult to promote trade and business within Palestine and with other countries.



This results in a crippled economy, unemployment, and them dependent on foreign aid.



It is clear that both people suffers.



Therefore UNI Europa Youth supports a two-state solution that guarantees safety and freedom for both parties.



The Steering Group must establish contact with the trade union confederation Histadrut and the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions (PGFTU) in order to discuss the possibilities of exchanges, conferences etc.
