As we celebrate the New Year, I have the pleasure to introduce the new Director for Women in UNI Apro, Yoko Ogawa. Yoko has been working in partnership with me as the Coordinator for Women & Youth during my term as the Director for Women & Youth Department of UNI Apro and the successes of the groups activities in the women and youth inter-professional group is attributed to her hard work and dedication to further the interest of the trade unions and the workers in this region. I know that you will continue to extend your cooperation to her and the group.



Another colleague, Magdalene Kong will resume the position of the Director for Youth Activities, Research and Information in UNI Apro. Magdalene is a very active social movement and trade union activist who had been working closely with us since 2008.



My new role will be as the Director of Commerce in UNI Apro and with the continuing support from the sectors, group, Regional Secretary and Executive Committee of UNI Apro - I am looking forward to this new and exciting role. The experience that I gathered working with you all had enriched me and I will be able to apply it in my new role in this dynamic organisation.



I like to take the opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for the hard work that you put in to the groups and I look forward in working closely with you again. Solidarity!
