Fraternity greetings and a happy new year to everyone!



It gives me great pleasure to be a part of the UNI Global Union family and to be the Director for Youth Activities in the UNI Asia Pacific Regional Office. I will have very large shoes to fill given that Ms. Alice Chang, the now Director for Commerce Sector, has left a solid foundation for the youth movement in UNI Apro to grow.



I am sure there are many interesting programs currently going on in your unions. At the UNI Apro secretariat, we are committed to nurturing and developing our youth affiliates. This year, we are especially convening the UNI Apro Youth Committee Meeting on the 25th July 2009 in conjunction with the UNI Apro 4-sector Conference. This is a great opportunity for youth members to interact with senior trade union officials from all around the region.



As the Director of Youth Activities, I am extremely excited to exchange ideas and share information with all fellow youth affiliates and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you in the near future!
