The paper illustrates how agency work can contribute to maintaining employment, upgrading skills and increasing labour market access.

The new Eurociett position paper builds on the the conclusions of the  EU Employment Summit of 7 of May and provides a first Eurociett assessment of the European Commission Communication "A shared Committment for Employment, published on 3 June.

For each of the priority areas, the position paper includes several recommendations for short-term and long-term policy strategies to address the identified challenges (maintaining employment, upgrading skills and increasing labour market access.

The position paper furthermore illustrates how agency work contributes to better functioning labour markets, thus helping EU economies to soften the impact of the economic crisis and supporting economic recovery.
