Lorraine Cassin from the Australian affiliate the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union is the new President of UNI Apro Graphical.

The Sectoral Committee met and made that decision following the appointment of Steve Walsh as the new Head of Department of UNI Graphical.

Bro Kyoji Takei, General Secretary of the  Japanese affiliate, All Printing Bureua Labour Union was also confirmed as the Vice President replacing Bro Hasegawa who retired last year. Both Sis Lorraine Cassin and Bro Takei join Bro madan Talwar (India) and Bro Chandra (Malaysia) on the committee

At its meeting the UNI Apro Graphical Sectoral committee ( pictured) also discussed the programme for 2010 and has mapped out activities which will center on organising and campaigning in the Asia and Pacific region.

Sis Casin is the National Secretary of the Printing Division of the AMWU and has been an official with tUnion for over 10 years, prior to that Ms Cassin worked in the packaging industry at Amcor Fibre Packaging and brings a wealth of experience to her new position
