Serbia has accepted Telenor's €1.05 million bid to become the country's second landline telephone operator.



Telenor already has a mobile phone network in Serbia with 2.8 million users.



The license is valid for 10 years and Telenor has agreed to make a significant investment in local infrastructure, constructing a fiber optic network to connect major Serbian cities.
