According to the newspaper, the Swedish Railway and the PO are the two state owned companies that the Swedish people find most important to be maintained state owned, according to a survey carried out by UNI Swedish affiliate SEKO.

More than two thirds is of the opinion that the state should be the majority owner of the Swedish Railway and almost as many, 62 % feel the same thing about the PO. According to the survey approximately 41 percent fear that the PO's service would suffer from more competition. At the same time 28 % believe that competition would be favorable for the postal services. Only 25 % felt that it is important that the state is the majority shareowner of Nordea, the leading Nordic finance Group, and 34 % felt the same about Telia Sonera.

The survey was carried out by Novus through 1 000 web interviews at the end of April this year.
