The 3^rd UNI Nepal Liaison Council (UNI NLC) Youth Conference was held in Bhaktapur on 4-6 June, 2010. The three days program was divided into two parts: a 2-days workshop on Youth Organizing and Activism followed by the conference to elect a new youth committee among UNI affiliates in Nepal.



By the end of the 3 days, a plan of action was adopted by the youth committee outlining its future priorities which includes:

1. Coordinating and supporting the work of UNI NLC and the component affiliates in organizing the unorganized in private banking/ telecom; logistics sector; private broadcasting sector and the gaming sector.

2. Building a social image of trade unions so as to inclucate a young generation of workers with positive affiliation to unionism.

3. Taking on the united stand on campaign for workers and trade unions rights especially in light of the country's new consitution.

4. Building on alliances with other youth groups in the country on common issues concerning youth.
