Currently the 35000 members of the union who work in the sector are deprived of decent working conditions and social security.



Despite several attempts to improve the situation, no improvement has taken place in practice. FSS&AMU has scheduled a press conference concerning the situation for 25 November.



UNI MEI supports FSS&AMU in their demand for decent working conditions and social security, and urges the government of India to take action to include film workers within the coverage of all relevant legislation.
