On eve of Women’s Day, executive and members of Retail, Commerce and Clothing Industries General Union joined the HKCTU Women’s Affairs Committee petitioned to the Hong Kong government -“Women fighting for Comprehensive Retirement Scheme for All Citizens”.

Participants hung heart-shaped slogans of “Worry” and “Angry” on their chests, marched to the Government Secretariat. At the gate, angry participants tore the heart shaped slogans.



The unions demanded:

1) To set up Comprehensive Retirement Scheme for All Citizens.

2) Hong Kong government supports the ILC for Domestic Workers

3) Hong Kong government to fulfill its obligation towards CEDAW

4) Amend labour law to protect contract and atypical workers.
