A union in France has managed to stave off the dismissal of five unionists at UPS who had participated in a series of strikes.



Managers at UPS La Corneuve, near Paris, had threatened to dismiss some five members of FO Transport Federation, who had been among those involved in a rolling programme of strikes at the beginning of February. Among the five, who were threatened with dismissal, was a trade union representative who had received 80 per cent of members’ votes during a union election held in October last year.
