Join the CEP-wide phone conversation
CEP is holding a union-wide telephone town hall meeting to discuss election issues. We will be calling every member in our phone bank database. The meetings will be held on the evenings of April 25th for members in Atlantic Canada and Ontario, and April 26th for members in the Western Region. Visit www.cep.ca/page/elections-2011 for more information.
Up to the minute news and views
CEP National is keeping up to the minute on election news, events and analysis by being part of “Smart Vote”. It’s a figurative ‘war room’ of unions, NGOs and social action groups put together by the Rideau Institute in Ottawa. “Smart Vote” allows us to exchange analysis and ideas, coordinate actions, and get our message out more effectively to media and decision makers. CEP receives morning reports and daily wrap-ups, as well as an event calendar and other information, as it arises, about Election 2011. Activists interested in getting this info, should send us an e-mail at info@cep.ca.
Special election message in Le Droit
For our francophone members, watch the April 29th International Workers’ Day issue of Le Droit for a message from CEP directed at the Harper government’s lack of aid to forestry workers and pensioners hit by bankrupt employers.
