Participants from unions and administrations in the postal sector recognised the importance of union recognition and freedom of association in discussions of a plan of action on social dialogue in the postal sector.



Seminar participants highlighted that unions should be involved in decision-making in order to integrate their knowledge and understanding. The importance of confidence building and credibility in social dialogue was also emphasized.



The seminar, organised by the Universal Postal Union, La Poste France, ILO and UNI Global Union was held in Yaoundé Cameroon from September 25-27.
