“This is a huge victory in Ohio. We hope is the first of many more for US workers who are fighting back and demanding their rights,” said UNI General Secretary Philip Jennings. “People across the US are demanding a fair economy where workers have rights. We believe that the power of the 99% can change the rules of the game in the US and in the global economy.”



This victory comes after Republican politicians in many US states have used state laws to strip public workers of their bargaining rights. Earlier this year the Ohio state legislature passed the law denying public workers bargaining rights.



UNI welcomes this victory and supports its US affiliates in their fight to restore bargaining rights for public sector workers across the country.
