On 8th March 2012, the women of CIAWU, Malawi took the opportunity to focus on domestic workers as on vulnerable group but very important. Mary Dzinyemba wrote that they “took advantage to disseminate information about the recently adopted Convention 189. It was a very touching experience to hear the stories of what these women go through.”

On behalf of CIAWU, she insures them that as a Union they shall endeavour to hold monthly meetings so as to educate and sensitise domestic workers about their rights as workers too, and that they deserve recognition and respect. Decent work for all!! It was an eye opener to all especially the domestic workers themselves!
