UNI's Broos Travels to Wedding in Post Bus

Cornelia Broos (née Berger) the UNI Europa Post & Logistics Policy Officer based in Brussels, travelled to her wedding reception in Austria Post's vintage Post Bus. The Austrian postal workers union had arranged for Austria Post to have the fabulous old post bus as the wedding vehicle for Cornelia, who got married in her native Vienna on Saturday 2 June. The guests saw the immaculately restored post bus carry Cornelia and her new husband, Jonathan Broos, to their wedding reception at a vineyard in the hills behind Vienna. Ealier the guests, including several of her UNI colleagues, gathered in the magnificent old Vienna Rathaus (town hall) to see Cornelia and Jonathan exchange vows and rings to become a married couple. The wedding ceremony was a mixture of tradition, fun, romance and reflected the fact that both Jonathan and Cornelia are committed trade unionists with a collective background in the young socialists movement. They had with them a truly international group of guests along with their proud families and friends from their respective countries, Austria and Belgium.
