Three global unions, the International Metalworkers’ Federation (IMF), the International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers’ Federation (ICEM) and the International Textiles Garment & Leather Workers’ Federation (ITGLWF), voted to join forces as a single global union and create a more powerful global voice for their members.



“We welcome the combination of three of our sister global unions into Industriall, which we believe will be a dynamic and forceful voice for its members and a powerful ally in the global union movement,” said UNI Global Union General Secretary Philip Jennings. “UNI was itself formed over a decade ago through a merger of multiple global unions into one organisation and we have never looked back.”



UNI looks forward to working with Industriall to fight for justice for workers and union rights around the world.
