From 3 to 7 June 2012, Ibrahima Katema, from Communication Workers Union of Kenya, represented UNI Africa youth at the Asia Pacific (APRO) Youth activities organised in Manilla, Philippines.

In order to enhance the cooperation between the 2 regions, this young worker attended the 8^th UNI APRO Youth Committee Meeting on 3 June and the related activities. Among these activities, there were workshops, visits to Payatas (slums) and productive presentations.

He got the opportunity to make a presentation about UNI Africa Youth on the way from Nagasaki to Cape Town, the training, the organising and the planning.



The discussions were fruitful and the exchange of experiences show him new paths of organising which will be very useful for organising youth in Africa especially in Kenya.
