From 5 to 7 December 2012 in Niamey, Niger, was held a workshop on organizing in multinational. This seminar also assessed the project LOTCO 50013.

Unions involved in this project LOTCO 50013, since August 2010, attended the workshop which evaluates the results of this project in which they were participating.

Under the guidance of the UNI Africa Project Coordinator, Mr. Innocent Tsumbu, the workshop aimed two specific objectives, namely:

- Share the best practices in organizing in multinational targeted by UNI Africa Strategic Action Plan

- and verify the implementation of the project from 2010 to 2012, with emphasis on results and indicators.

Amongst the 14 unions currently involved in the project, 8 unions shared their experiences on organizing in 10 multinational companies. Regarding the achievement, it was noted that the implementation of the project has produced a visible impact on the ownership of UNI Africa action plan by the affiliates concerned.

Significant progress has been made e.g. increased membership, implementation of internal democracy, the consolidation of the liaison councils which were made into recruitment committees.

Resolutions and recommendations have been adopted to ensure the sustainability of project achievements.
