First UK & Ireland Area Youth Meeting

The first UK & Ireland area meeting was held on 12 January in Manchester (UK), The purpose of the meeting was to encourage our affiliated unions in the UK & Ireland area to be more involved in UNI Youth.

Representatives from UNITE, CWU & BECTU were in attendance and heard from UNI about the work of UNI Youth and discussed the motions being put forward to our Youth Conference being held in Portugal on 6-8 February 2013.

Nominations to the steering group were discussed as two places are empty for the area. We hope that the representatives in attendance join the steering group or help find someone from their respective unions.
