NFUs General Secretary, Christina Colclough, will be leaving NFU. She has been appointed General Secretary for NFS - the Council of Nordic Trade Unions.



Christina comments:



“NFU has developed into a professional, well-trimmed lobby organisation that not only sets a firm mark on future EU legislation, but has also built a strong brand and reputation. There will always be new challenges awaiting us, but together the NFU member unions now have the strategies and structures to meet them. I want to thank all the people I have worked with, and for, the past 5 amazing years”



NFUs President Michael Budolfsen is sad to see Christina go, but adds:



“I want to congratulate Christina on her new job. I see it also as an acknowledgement of NFU, that we can provide competent people to other organisations. Christina is thankfully staying within the union family, and we look forward to working closely with NFS in the future. In NFU we fight for a balanced regulation of the financial sector, and we have several times stopped the EU from undermining the autonomy of our collective agreements and the essence of our Nordic Models. Cooperation across sectors in these matters is vital. The NFU Board will now find a new general secretary who can carry on, but also develop even further, our work.”
