UNI Americas Regional Executive Committee expresses its full solidarity with the workers of Guatemala, their unions and the people in general, while instructing the Regional Secretary to adopt political measures to make solidarity effective.



Based on the above, UNI Americas Regional Executive Committee resolves:



First, to develop an action plan to record and monitor threats and murder suffered by trade unionists and other violations of union rights taking place in Guatemala, and to denounce these violations to national, regional and global authorities.



Second, call on other international union federations to carry out joint actions in Guatemala, coordinate efforts and activities in order to increase pressure on government and corporations to achieve changes as soon as possible.



We conclude by saying that when faced with human, labour and union rights violations in Guatemala,
