On the second day of Workshop (11 Oct 2015) youth participants visited Payatas, a local community located within Old Balara, Quezon City, Philippines. This area has been chosen as beneficiary for this year's “Payatas feed the Children” program, a continuous project organized by UNI PLC Youth and adopted by UNI APRO since year 2008.

The aim of this activity was to develop awareness of the participants about poverty and hardships that these locals go through for their livelihood. Participants were instructed to depart hotel at 6am. The youth group was divided into two to reach Section 1 and Section 4 of Payatas separately to feed hundred & fifty (150) Children in Section 4, fifty (50) children in Section 1 and volunteered to distribute goods among twenty families. Locals warmly welcomed the youth, lead by their Chief Captain, Brother Allan.

This activity helped to enhance teamwork among youth participants and made them understood how to carry an out reach /field activity in real ground. Indeed, this activity was a priceless participatory approach to all of them to value the small things and differences in life.
