Moments before our very important regulated collective bargaining with Walmart, we inform you of the events so far.

We are where we want to be, at the time we want, and achieving our objectives. SIL is a united, disciplined, responsible, and trustworthy union looking toward the future.

We are building this negotiation not only for our affiliates but for all Walmart workers, and it will be our input to national unions and our contribution to make things fairer in Chile.

We are currently in the process of regulated bargaining, with the first stage accomplished. We have 15,800 workers negotiating, being the largest bargaining unit in the private sector. Of those 15,800 workers, 98 percent rejected the company's second offer.

Today, Friday 10th of July, at 12.00 pm and 6.00 pm, our activists will visit the premises to sing the National Anthem and express their disagreement with the steps being taken by the company.

Tomorrow, July 11th, we will also be present in the National March with the CUT, where we will make a declaration on our current union struggle.

Next week we will begin the second stage, Good Offices, requested by the company and then, by Law, we will have to wait five working days for Walmart's response.

If SIL is not satisfied with the company's proposal, no agreement will be reached and the third stage would be to initiate a strike.
