On 23 June, UNI Europa affiliate GMB addressed a letter to 27 EU Heads of State and governments, i.e. excluding the UK, as well as EU ambassadors of each of these Member States, in advance of the ongoing EU summit. British Prime Minister David Cameron is aiming to push for an EU reform agenda that scales back the application of employment rights in the UK which is unacceptable. GMB asks for UNI affiliates’ support and encourages action urging governments to resist UK government attacks on Social Europe.
