UNI Property Services Europa conference in Liverpool today backed the selfie campaign - and urged all afffiliates to organise actions on June 16th.

UNI Property Services is asking all affuliate unions to organise actions, events and protests in cities around the world to highlight the low pay and precarious work in unsafe conditions of Cleaners and Security Guards. Over 70 delegates - the largest attendance ever at this conference - listened to presentations from a number of speakers including Jude Brimble the national organiser for Security for GMB and Professor Jeremy waddington from the European Trade Union Institute. Delgates also had reports from the campaign for domestic workers in the Netherlands, from Spanish and Swedish trade unions and from the Italian trade union movement.

Wednesday is the Global Property Services conference when delegates from Africa, South America and the United States will join up with the european delegates.
