On 14 February 2014, the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee on Sea Fisheries adopted a Resolution in support of the Social Partner Agreement on occupational health and safety in the Hairdressing sector.

The Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee on Sea Fisheries had already, on 11 October 2013, expressed its support to the request of the Hairdressing Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee to render the social partner agreement legally binding. 

The Resolution, which you can find in the Reklated Files tab, is in line with the Rethink REFIT Camlpaign. It expresses the concern of the Sea Fisheries social partners about the EU Commission's decision not to present to the Council of the EU for its decision, the social partner agreement in the hairdressing sector. 

The Resolution, which has been forwarded to Commissionner Andor, responsible for Social Affairs, calls upon the EU Commission to respond positively to the request of the social partners in the hairdressing sector and make a proposal to the Council without further delay.
