Andy Snoddy , Head of UNI Graphical & Packaging, declared: " UNI Graphical & Packaging supports all initiatives taken by the CGT in the context of the merger between Publicis and Omnicom. UNI G & P will partner closely in transnational union activities planned for 2014 and 2015 by UNI Europa G & P concerning Publicis-Omnicom. With the goal of constituting a global union network for Publicis and Omnicom, UNI G & P will consider the possibility of extending the European trade union activities to the global level by involving, whenever possible, trade unionists from other parts of the world . "
Nicola Konstantinou also declared: "UNI Europa G&P would like to congratulate InfoCom CGT for organizing an awareness campaign and mobilization related to economic and social consequences of the merger between the two global leaders in communication Publicis and Omnicom. UNI Europa G&P supports fully all requests of InfoCom CGT and considers it to be urgent to establish a responsible social dialogue at the national, european and international levels between trade unions concerned and the directions of the two groups to discuss all issues related to the merger. In addition , UNI Europa G&P believes that social dialogue should necessarily take into account the legitimate concerns of workers on the stability and quality of their employment and their rights, particularly regards to union representation and collective bargaining.
Finally, as part of its work program 2014-2015 , UNI Europa G&P wishes to emphasize that it is planned to retain Publicis-Omnicom as one of the multinational companies on which it intends to concentrate its transnational trade union activities in order to develop a European union network and to prepare for the opening of negotiations on the establishment of a European Works Council."
